Letter to the editor Our politics are in a shambles...

-

THE SNP government is on a downward spiral.

For all the good, there have been too many failures. Confidence from the public is at an all- time low.

Independence voters let down with constant misinformation about the reality of a legal route toward another referendum.

Most disappointing thing is Labour and the Tories are presenting themselves as the worst opposition in a generation. Kevin Ross

IT’S difficult for Douglas Ross to suggest a vote of no confidence when his own professional confidence has been described by his political masters at Westminster as ( checks notes) “lightweight”.

It’s difficult also for Anas Sarwar to suggest a vote of no confidence when Keir Starmer ignores pretty much everything Scottish Labour want, including immediate Gaza ceasefire, stop selling arms to Israel, two child benefit cap, employment law devolved to Scottish Parliament ... the list goes on and on.

Meanwhile, SNP remain the closest party to the Greens and to that end it is best SNP continue to hold power as Scottish Labour and Scottish Tory politicians just sell their soul to Westminster, as their voting record shows. James Hamilton

WE should have Scottish Parliament elections when the leader of the ruling party changes, especially when that so called leader has been so incompetent in previous jobs.

It seems like he’s trying to destroy Scotland completely, just like the Tories are destroying the whole UK.

They’re just the Tartan Tories. It’s a competition to see who’s most corrupt and incompetent. Paul Craig
