Duku forced out on to sidelines
STRIKER Manny Duku will miss seveal weeks after for a number of weeks after discloating his shoulder injury in the League Two defeat at Tranmere Rovers.
The Dutch fell over an advertising board after contesting a cross.
Manager Gary Johnson said: “He’s going to be out a few weeks which is a real shame after two only games.
“It’s only his second Football League game and I know that he would have improved. He will when he comes back, but he’s got a little bit of a few weeks before we see him again.”
Johnson admitted the Robins need to create much more after they slipped to a second successive 1-0 defeat.
James Norwood scored the only goal as Johnson conceded a poor first-half showing had left his team with too much to do.
“Defeats always hurt and we all get disappointed and none of us like losing,” he said.
“We stepped it up a little bit in the second half, threw caution to the wind and had a couple of opportunities.
“Everyone could see that they were on top at half-time, we couldn’t handle the buoyancy and the momentum that was with them.
“We had to come out and do something second half and we gave it a go. Jacob Maddox looked a very good player in the second half.
“A few of them haven’t done themselves any favours. Scott Flinders has been inspired, but that is what your goalkeeper has to do sometimes.
“I have no complaints and I’m honest enough, I’ve said to the players that on the day the opposition had more opportunities and more assured play. We only had that late on.
“It was like the Crawley game and we don’t want to be going down 1-0 every week and trying to get it back because you do leave yourself open.
“We need a team creating chances. We’ve lost two games and I will go away with thoughts and there might be one or two that I need to change.”
