The people have already spoken

Gloucestershire Echo - - LETTERS & OPINION - Dave Lynham Chairman. Freedom For All

✒ I WOULD like to reply to the letter from Philip Cole of Cheltenham for Europe (September 27), headlined “Only answer is to put question back to people”.

How many times does he have to be told that the people have already spoken?

Does he blindly ignore the meaning of democracy?

Are general elections rerun because the few are not happy with the wishes of the rest?

Maybe Philip has so little faith in his own country that he would prefer to hide under the berry.

Me living in the past? No, I am looking towards a brighter future.

There is no new hope within Europe. History will keep on repeating itself as is evident with some leaders throwing every trick in their book to try to keep us in.

Without our contribution and the fact that we will prosper eventually, they are scared that they will lose face and lose control of their own destiny.
