Sitting pretty in pink for three decades of shop’s success story
A FAMILY business with an unmissable pink frontage was popping the corks as it celebrated 30 years in Cheltenham.
The Square Pillow, which sells bespoke bed linen, luxury lingerie and bath robes and towels, welcomed customers and actress Fiona Fullerton to its Montpellier shop.
Sandro Spescha flew in from Switzerland to represent longstanding supplier Christian Fischbacher and delivered a speech highlighting many of the reasons why The Square Pillow has remained successful.
The business was started by Suzanne Langley-sowter after working alongside her late mother Barbara, who ran a company supplying fitted bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Suzanne’s stepdaughter Sarah Morrison said: “They made a formidable team, accessing goods from across Europe and many of Suzanne’s original suppliers remain loyal to the company after all these years.
“Achieving 30 years in business in Montpellier is an achievement to be proud of in the world of online shopping, social media and the challenges to the high street.
“It has only been possible with the support and loyalty of customers and suppliers.”
The Square Pillow is the UK’S only stockist of Celestine nightwear and the leading independent stockist of Hanro of Switzerland.
