Addai ‘turns down’ loan move
CHELTENHAM Town winger Alex Addai is thought to have rejected a move to National League South club Concord Rangers.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Blackpool prospect joined the Robins from Merstham on a one-year deal in the summer.
He has also previously been on the books of Whitehawk and Kingstonian.
Concord, managed by former AFC Wimbledon and Leyton Orient midfielder Sammy Moore, are ninth in their division and defeated Beaconsfield 2-1 in the FA Cup third qualifying round on Saturday.
Addai, 24, started the opening day defeat by Crawley Town at the Jonnyrocks Stadium and has made a total of four starts and one substitute appearance for the Robins, but he is yet to feature under new boss Michael Duff.
His last appearance was as a substitute in the Carabao Cup defeat at Brentford on August 28.
Gary Johnson, now in charge of Torquay United, is also thought to be interested in signing Addai for a second time, having brought him to Whaddon Road at the end of last term.
