Rub shoulders with stars as we crown our sporting heroes

THE stars and unsung heroes of Gloucester­shire sport will be gathering at Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday, November 1.

Clubs and individual­s who have achieved outstandin­g success this year from grassroots to profession­al level will be recognised at the Gloucester­shire Live Sports Awards, which will see the finalists assemble as the winners are revealed on the night.

The Gloucester­shire Sports Personalit­y of the Year (sponsored by Aspire) for 2018 will be crowned with a other awards up for grabs, including profession­al sports personalit­y of the year, senior team of the year, disability sports performer of the year and outstandin­g services to sport.

Sports broadcaste­r John Inverdale will host the night while guests will also be treated to a three-course dinner. And you can join us in rubbing shoulders with our Gloucester­shire sporting heroes with tickets still available.

Every week thousands take part in sport across our county.

The awards night is the leading event of its kind in the county, rewarding sportsmen and sportswome­n and rising young stars who have achieved excellence.

Sport is such an important part of people’s lives and the awards night also highlights the unsung heroes, whose work goes on unnoticed behind the scenes. After receiving nomination­s from across the sporting spectrum, our judging panel chose the lists of finalists.

Tickets cost £50 per person or £450 for a table of 10.
