Reed staying close to home for senior bow
ENGLAND Under-21 pair Paige Reed and Halimat Adio have signed for Severn Stars ahead of their third Vitality Netball Superleague campaign.
Reed, from Gloucester, was scouted when she was 13 and played for Team Bath before representing England Under-21s against Australia.
The 21-year-old goal attack said: “I am nervous and excited about playing for the Severn Stars.
“I’m looking forward to getting back on the court and playing with a new combination of team mates.
“I want to become a consistent shooter and asset to the Stars and hope I can bring a fun style of play to the team.”
Adio, 20, has already played two seasons in Superleague with Mavericks and Wasps.
She said: “I’m excited to see everyone, I know Sam Bird (head coach) is a really good coach and I believe this squad will help me develop.
“When I do get match play I just bang it out and act like every match is my last.”
The pair join Jodie Gibson, Iona Darroch, Lucy Harris, Maryka Holtzhausen, Sam Cook, Cara Lea Moseley, Georgia Rowe and Jodi-ann Ward in the Severn Stars squad.
