Harvey heads off Keeper Rivers making switch to join Truro

-

GOALKEEPER Harvey Rivers made his final appearance for Evesham United at Moneyfields last weekend.

The former Cheltenham Town youngster and current Hartpury student will then sign for National League South side Truro City, who have also brought in defender Nick Grimes from Cinderford Town.

The Cornish outfit are currently groundsharing with Torquay United at Plainmoor.

Rivers took over from the experienced Kevin Sawyer as Evesham’s number one in the summer.

Boss Paul Collicutt has moved quickly to bring in Andy Hannah, who is currently signed on dual registration forms with Mangotsfield United and Gloucester City, as Rivers’ replacement.

Hannah played his final game for Mangotsfield in the FA Trophy tie against Didcot Town on Saturday and then complete his move to Evesham, where his other club Gloucester are currently groundsharing.

“I’d like to thank Mangotsfield for their help because they’ve been as good as gold,” Evesham boss Paul Collicutt said.

“They have waved the seven days’ notice of approach so Andy can make his debut for us on Sunday week against Larkhall.”

Evesham have also signed former Cheltenham Town winger Adam Page on loan from Gloucester City and he was in the squad against Moneyfields on Saturday.

A 90th minute goal from Daniel Wooden settled the game.
