» County Coun­cil­lor Iain Do­bie will hold his monthly surgery for res­i­dents of Leck­hamp­ton and War­den Hill on Satur­day from 10am to noon in Sar­dar’s Cafe, Sal­is­bury Av­enue.

» There will be a Re­mem­brance Ser­vic held by the War Memo­rial from 10.45am to 11am on Sun­day and ser­vices of re­mem­brance will fol­low in St Mary’s Church at 10am, in the Bap­tist Church at 10.30am and also at 10.30am in Sa­cred Hearts Church. St Mary’s bells will ring a muf­fled peal at var­i­ous times dur­ing the day to com­mem­o­rate the end of the war in 1918.

Af­ter cof­fee and a chance to browse the book and jew­ellery stalls and, buy a raf­fle ticket, mem­bers and vis­i­tors can en­joy lis­ten­ing to the West­brook Singers.

They will be singing pop­u­lar songs from the shows and end­ing with a few car­ols.

» The Friends of Pittville School are hold­ing their Christ­mas Bazaar at the school from 6pm to 9pm on Fri­day Novem­ber 16. En­try for chil­dren is free and adults £1.

You can en­joy the choir singing whilst sam­pling hot dogs, mulled wine and other re­fresh­ments. A grand raf­fle has as one of its prizes tick­ets to the races and stalls with Christ­mas gifts and other items for sale.

With its fo­cus on the Gen­e­sis story the Cre­ation is jus­ti­fi­ably pop­u­lar and is a firm favourite for choirs ev­ery­where. Come and Sing events are friendly and wel­com­ing.

They of­fer an op­por­tu­nity to share a day of won­der­ful mu­sic mak­ing and sam­ple some of Mu­sica Vera’s hos­pi­tal­ity.
