» Charlton Kings Men’s Probus Club meets at 9.30am today in Sacred Hearts Church Rooms.
Peter Covey Crump will give an illustrated talk about three former Soviet states, Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Next Thursday Peter Donovan’s talk will cover the life of Eleanor Josephine Trehawke Davies a remarkable aviator who flew with pilot Gustav Hamel on some of the first recorded and adventurous plane journeys.

» Emmanuel Kitchen Cafe will be open tomorrow from 10am -noon selling coffee/tea and cakes. All are welcome.

» The Film Society is showing the black and white 1964 film King and Country at 7.45pm in Sacred Hearts Church rooms.
This First World War film stars Tom Courtenay and Dirk Bogarde and was nominated for a BAFTA. Doors and bar open at 7pm and tickets cost £5.
» County Councillor Iain Dobie will hold his monthly surgery for residents of Leckhampton and Warden Hill on Saturday from 10am to noon in Sardar’s Cafe, Salisbury Avenue.
» Charlton Kings Annual Toy Sale runs from November 10-17 each day in the Baptist Church from 9.15am-4.30pm (apart from Sunday).

» There will be a Remembrance Servic held by the War Memorial from 10.45am to 11am on Sunday and services of remembrance will follow in St Mary’s Church at 10am, in the Baptist Church at 10.30am and also at 10.30am in Sacred Hearts Church. St Mary’s bells will ring a muffled peal at various times during the day to commemorate the end of the war in 1918.
» Cheltenham Flower Club holds its next meeting from 12.30pm on Monday in the Pump Room. A demonstration begins at 2pm and will be presented by Johathon Moseley with the title Berries, Blooms and Baubles. Tickets for non members cost £7
» The parish council meets on Monday, November 12, in the Stanton Rooms next to the Library for a Finance and General Purposes meeting. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
» There will be a member of our local policing team available for questions at the Parish Council Office, 26 Church Street today from 1-2pm and again on Tuesday, November 13, unless there is a local emergency.
» Chris Gibbons playing the clarinet with Sandie Middleton accompanying on the piano give the Lunchtime
Concert at the Town Hall on Tuesday, November 12 at 1.05pm.

» The charity shop for Linc is holding a party season event at the shop on Bath Road from 2-6pm on Wednesday, November 14.
On sale will be evening and party wear, shoes, accessories, Christmas cards, decorations and gifts.
» Charlton Kings Friendship club meets in Holy Apostles Church from 10am on Friday, November 16.
After coffee and a chance to browse the book and jewellery stalls and, buy a raffle ticket, members and visitors can enjoy listening to the Westbrook Singers.
They will be singing popular songs from the shows and ending with a few carols.

» The Friends of Pittville School are holding their Christmas Bazaar at the school from 6pm to 9pm on Friday November 16. Entry for children is free and adults £1.
You can enjoy the choir singing whilst sampling hot dogs, mulled wine and other refreshments. A grand raffle has as one of its prizes tickets to the races and stalls with Christmas gifts and other items for sale.

With its focus on the Genesis story the Creation is justifiably popular and is a firm favourite for choirs everywhere. Come and Sing events are friendly and welcoming.
They offer an opportunity to share a day of wonderful music making and sample some of Musica Vera’s hospitality.
