Ceremony celebrates success Graduates mark end of courses
GRADUATION ceremonies have taken place for students at the University of Gloucestershire. The successful students collected their degrees in one of three ceremonies at the Centaur at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Honorary degrees were also conferred on notable figures from the worlds of sport, politics, education, fashion, engineering, religion and government .
Every year, the university confers honorary doctorates and fellowships upon distinguished individuals who have made an outstanding local, national or international contribution or who have supported the university.

Poppy has led the development of mental health first aid in England since its inception.
She is the chief executive of Mental Health First Aid England, which has trained more than 200,000 people with mental health skills and 1,300 MHFA trainers in the last 10 years.
Sue has worked in theatre arts education for the last 40 years, and founded the Performing Arts degree at the University of Gloucestershire with Sheila Mander in 2007.
She is responsible for training some of the leading British theatre artists and dancers working in the industry today.
An alumnus of the University of Gloucestershire, Mr Denton-thompson is the president, a trustee and fellow of the Landscape Institute.
Jamie Tabor QC sat on the bench as the Crown Court judge in Gloucester since 2003, retiring in 2018.
He is a governor at Gloucester Academy and is involved with the Nelson Trust, which helps to rehabilitate offenders.
Former Vice-chancellor of Coventry University, Professor Atkins was CEO of the Higher Education Funding Council for England until April 2018.
She is a Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands, and was elected a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in 2016.
