A CATERING equipment distributor has been shortlisted for a top award – days after collecting another.

Family-run Target Catering Equipment has been shortlisted for Distributor of the Year in the South of England category at Catering Insight Awards 2018.

That follows success at the Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association Awards where the firm was highly commended in the Sustainable Catering Equipment category for its sustainable induction ranges.

The Gloucester business, which has been providing quality, commercial kitchens to the foodservice industry for over 30 years, made the Catering shortlist for the latest honour after designing and installing commercial kitchens in projects for major clients including the Royal Navy, RIBA and Pegasus Life.

The finalists will be judged by leading industry professionals, with those in the dstributor category voting for the winners of the awards’ supplier categories and vice-versa.

Managing director David Pedrette said: “We can’t believe we’re up for a second award in just a matter of days.

“We’re thrilled to be in the running for the Distributor of the Year Award.

“It means a lot to get recognised for the service we provide to our customers, especially as we always go the extra mile to ensure they are satisfied with our equipment.”

Target Catering Equipment has helped to deliver Carbon Trust funding for sustainable catering equipment to its clients and has assisted customers with overcoming difficult ventilation and equipment issues that have caused contractual problems and require compliance with strict planning and DEFRA guidelines.

As a result of investing in software and hardware to deliver complete 3D designs, its design and consultancy services are being engaged by international companies.

The overall winners will be announced at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom tonight.
