BOURTON Rovers booked their place in the Gloucestershire Senior Amateur Cup (North) quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over Brimscombe and Thrupp reserves.

Rovers took eight miutes to open the scoring as Josh Fielding finished delightfully from 15 yards.

In the 20th minute Fielding was pulled down in the penalty box and sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot.

It was 3-0 as Jake Forster rose in the box and headed home from Danny Way’s corner.

In the 62nd minute Rovers centre half Callum Trott received a second yellow card and was sent off and Brimscombe pulled one back.

The Rovers back line held out while keeper Simon Flower made two excellent saves in the dying minutes.

The reserves were 1-0 down at halftime at Bletchingdon but equalised 10 minutes in to the second half through Adam Webbley

But Bletchingdon went back in front from the penalty spot and then had a man sent off for a foul on Mitch Thomasen.

Matt Rose hit a screamer from 20 yards in to the bottom right corner and then slotted home the winner from a tight angle.
