A CHELTENHAM man has been given an anti-social behaviour order that bans him from entering 62 pubs and clubs in the town.
Gloucester and Cheltenham County Court handed the one year-long order to Danny O’loughlin, of Waterloo Street, preventing him from:
Entering the 62 Cheltenham Daysafe/nightsafe premises
Engaging in conduct which causes or is capable of causing alarm, harassment or distress to any person within the town of Cheltenham
Using or threatening to use violence against any person within the town of Cheltenham
A breach of the above terms could lead to a maximum of two years in prison.
Gloucestershire police sought the injunction following what they said had been “a string of incidents” involving O’loughlin.
Evidence given to the court showed that he had behaved violently and anti-socially towards members of the public in Cheltenham on a number of occasions.
The injunction, which was supported by partner agencies Cheltenham Solace and Cheltenham Daysafe/ Nightsafe, aims to protect the community of Cheltenham.
It expires at 4pm on November 13 2019.
