» The organisers of the Christmas Craft Fayre which was due to take place on November 24 at Apperley Village Hall would like to apologise to those people who turned up to visit the event for its late cancellation.

This was caused by the majority of stallholders who were due to be present at the fayre pulling out at very short notice.

» Tickets are on sale for The Curious Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at Apperley Village Hall on Saturday, December 15, at 7.30 pm.

Tickets are £10 for adults and children under 16 £6.

» The mobile library will be visiting Apperley (near the school) from 2.203.50pm and Deerhurst (road leading to Odda’s Chapel) from 4.05-4.35pm on Friday, December 14.

There will be a good selection of books for adults and children and you can use a computer free of charge.
