Cubs spent some time preparing for their weekend camp at Cranham Scout centre. They packed several boxes of games they can take with them, and made sure they all work. Games like draughts, chess, Monopoly and so forth. Hope their weekend turns up not so wet as we have had lately.

Beavers spent some time making ingenious Christmas decorations and did a bit more work on their science badge. Thank you Joanne, Nikki and Anna.

Many thanks to Lisa, Tina and Gaynor who decorated the Century Hall last Monday in reparation for Christmas. Well done ladies.

Ray, the new caretaker who will be looking after the Social Centre from this week, was taken round and shown the ropes. I have been caretaker for over 20 years and sadly decided there were several things needed doing which are better handled by someone a little younger. Good luck Ray. I will still be looking after Bookings but things like repairs, looking after lighting and ensuring the place is secure, and grass cutting, and so forth are now handed over.

The next Romanian families meeting all day in the Century Hall will be taking place on Saturday, December 22. They are now under new management.

The Scout Troop has gone into a rest period where only one or two Scouts turning up. Looks like we will have to wait till the new year when perhaps some Cubs reaching 10 will venture to the Scout troop. Boys and girls aged 10 plus have a great experience. However they all do eventually reach 14 and move up to Explorers in Cheltenham. Looking forward to the future.
