Date set for derby clash
» GLOUCESTER’S Premiership Cup derby day meeting with Bath will take place on Saturday, February 2 at 2.30pm.
Two games have been chosen for live television coverage but the game at The Rec is be one of them as another West Country derby between Bristol Bears and Exeter Chiefs and Worcester’s clash with Wasps have been chosen.
Gloucester are second in Pool Three after three games, a point behind Northampton and level with Bristol, while Bath are bottom of Pool One and can’t qualify.
With Northampton and Bristol in action in the first week against Leicester and Exeter respectively, Gloucester will know whether they still have a chance of topping their group and, if so, what they have to do by the time they face Bath.
If Northampton win their final game with a bonus point, Gloucester could have a chance of reaching the semifinals as the best placed runner-up but would need other results to help them. Exeter and Worcester are the other pool leaders with Saracens the best second-placed team, two points better off than Gloucester.
