Chaos on the streets if there is no EU deal

-

✒ PROJECT Fear is really happening and it is happening right now.

Because of Brexit, essential prescription drugs like blood pressure lowering drugs, anti-psychotics, anti-depressants and painkillers are already in short supply.

This is dangerous and could lead to deaths.

I have already had problems obtaining essential prescription drugs for myself.

I have just heard about patients being unable to obtain antiphychosis drugs.

Suddenly stopping these drugs can cause the patient to suddenly go into a state of severe phychosis.

What is the Government doing about this?

Who will treat these people when the psychiatric professions are so underfunded and under-staffed? Will it be the police? The Army? Many of us were tricked into voting for Brexit by the likes of Boris Johnson, who said the NHS would get an extra £350million a week if we left the EU. Nobody mentioned the prospect of crashing out without a deal leading to shortages of essential prescription drugs. chemicals for purifying water and even toilet rolls.

I fear the problems with obtaining essential medication is putting the lives of myself and others at risk, at this very moment. Stop this madness now and give us another referendum. Theresa May is holding the whole country to ransom with the threat of a no-deal Brexit.

She is threatening to take Britain back to the Dark Ages.

She is a diabetic herself and we all know that she will ensure she gets her regular prescription of insulin, produced in Denmark. Other diabetics may not be so lucky. No wonder the army will be called out if we crash out with no deal. There will be chaos on the streets. J Ward Cheltenham
