Charlton Kings Men’s Probus Club meets at 9.30am today at Sacred Hearts Church Rooms when Lewis Lawton will give an insight into the history of the Incas and their demise.

Next week Howard Beard will entertain members with a nslideshow illustrati­ng the lives of people who lived in the Stroud Valleys in victorian times.

Charlton Kings Film Society is showing The Constant Gardener starring Ralph Fiennes at 7.45pm tomorrow at Sacred Hearts Church rooms. Doors and bar open from 7pm. Tickets cost £5.

The Leckhampto­n Players are performing Jack and The Beanstalk at the Village Hall from Saturday until February 2 with four matinees and five evening performanc­es.

Cheltenham Philharmon­ic Orchestra perform a Winter Concert of music by Grieg and Brahms at 3pm on Sunday, January 27.

The full parish council meets at the Stanton Room next to the library at 7pm on Monday. All members of the public are welcome to attend.

The Lisney Trio will perform music Smetana, Chopin and Schubert at 7.30pm on Tuesday in the Pump Room.

The Regency Probus Club for men meets from 10am on Wednesday, January 30, at Cheltenham Bowling Club.

Ron Gallivan will talk about wartime food production from 1939-45. Ladies are welcome at this meeting.
