Managing director for England named by Scottish housebuilder

HOUSEBUILDER Mactaggart and Mickel have further strengthened their growing English operation with the appointment of the first managing director for their Homes England division.

Joanne Casey, a board director at the firm in Scotland with more than 30 years’ insight and experience in senior housing roles, will oversee all new and ongoing developments across England, operating primarily from the company’s growing Cheltenham office.

After almost 100 years of success across Scotland, Mactaggart and Mickel are bringing their experience of luxury housebuilding to England.

They have already started on two new English developments - at Miltonunder-wychwood and East Challow in Oxfordshire, while two further sites in the Cotswolds are awaiting planning consent.

Joanne Casey will also retain her existing senior role in Scotland, holding overall responsibility for all sales, marketing and architectural functions, driving the delivery of projects across the country.
