Mazda introduces new CX-5 model
MAZDA is adding a new rangetopping GT Sport Nav+ trim to its popular CX-5 SUV range along with a series of revisions to its siblings.
The new model sits above the existing Sport Nav+ and gets a substantial amount of extra kit including 19-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch colour display between the dials, a higher grade of leather trim and LED ambient lighting.
The front seats gain ventilation and the rear seats are now also heated. Other upgrades include a mix of wood and satin chrome trim, a new steering wheel with special stitching, black roof lining and a frameless rear view mirror.
A safety pack offered as an option on lesser models is standard on the new flagship model which includes LED headlights, a driver alert system, smart city brake support as well as a 360 degree surround view camera. Every CX-5 now gets Apple Carplay and Android Auto as standard as well as dual climate control for 2019.
Sport Nav+ models are boosted by a reversing camera, electrically adjusted driver’s seat, keyless entry, heated front seats and steering wheel as well as a head-up display and a powered tailgate. The CX-5 is already one of the sharpest SUVS to drive and Mazda has made a number of suspension modifications to improve its dynamics further.
Manual and automatic gearboxes are also available and
