Man ar­rested as po­lice find drug worth £300k

THIS is just part of a haul of 360 cannabis plants found by po­lice at two ad­dresses in Chel­tenham.

Of­fi­cers from the Force Crime Op­er­a­tions team be­lieve the com­bined street value of the drugs found in this lat­est op­er­a­tion could be £300,000.

The spe­cial­ist of­fi­cers, who fo­cus in se­ri­ous and or­gan­ised crime, found 208 plants in one lo­ca­tion and 152 in an­other prop­erty on Mon­day.

A 44-year-old man from Chel­tenham was ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of the pro­duc­tion of class B drugs and re­mains in cus­tody at this time. DC Craig Open­shaw said: “We have dis­rupted what we sus­pect is an or­gan­ised crime group. “We would ask you to call Crimestop­pers should you sus­pect that some­thing sim­i­lar is tak­ing part where you live.
