» A COTSWOLD couple are being featured in a special National Lottery advert for St Valentine’s Day. Jon and Michaela Maslenjones are the proud owners of Stow News Post Office in Stow-on-the-wold. They were selected from dozens of retailer couples to star in the new Lotto advert, which will first air on 7 February and will be seen on TV screens across the UK right up until the Valentine’s Superdraw on February 13. “The day was amazing from start to finish,” said Michaela. “It was very long, but a really good experience. I could not believe the work that goes into making such a short advert. There were so many people there to make it happen – the camera crew, director, producers and everybody else.” “We’d previously said that if we were to win the lottery, we’d move to the Cotswolds. We didn’t end up winning the lottery, but we sold our house and bought the business, enabling us to move to the Cotswolds.” Camelot’s retail partners – like Jon and Michaela – help to raise around £30 million every single week for Good Cause projects up and down the UK. Camelot’s retail director Duncan Malyon said: “We’re so glad they enjoyed the experience.”
