Credit where credit is due over pavements

Gloucestershire Echo - - NEWS -

✒ ONE must always give credit wherever it is due.

I witnessed two OAPS trip over a raised paving slab who were saved by the portable terrace outside Pret a Manger beore a third younger person not too calamitously tripped.

I notified the receptionist at The Municipal Offices and she pointed me in the direction of the telephone for Highways England/glos Highways.

I rang them and explained the problem.

When I passed one, maybe two days later, I am glad to say the pavement was repaired and definitely untrippable.

Reporting things to the appropriate people is the answer, not just whinging on about it Douglas F Vick Cheltenham
