Duffus makes Glovers move from Oldham

-

» FORMER Cheltenham Town academy player Courtney Duffus has joined relegation rivals Yeovil Town.

Duffus left Cheltenham along with younger brother Tyrone in 2012 to join Premier League giants Everton.

He joined Oldham Athletic in the summer of 2017 but has now signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Yeovil after moving for an undisclosed fee.

“Courtney has been on my radar for a long time,” said Yeovil manager Darren Way.

“With the links that we had at Everton that at the time saw Shane Duffy, John Lundstram and Liam Walsh arrive, Courtney was a target on the same list.

“With his attributes and the way he plays, I’m sure he can become a fans’ favourite and a very successful signing at this football club.”

» RYAN Seager trained with Cheltenham Town in early January before signing for Tuesday night’s opponents Yeovil.

The striker joined his hometown club from Southampton on a free transfer on January 29, making his debut in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Stevenage having appeared for the Glovers on loan last term.

The 22-year-old joined Dutch club Telstar on a season-long loan in August but was recalled by Saints, enabling him to move elsewhere.

Robins boss Michael Duff had a look at him, but did not follow up his interest, instead bringing in Billy Waters and Rakish Bingham to strengthen his forward options.
