SPRINGBANK REGENERATION PROVES POPULAR WITH HOMEBUYERS

-

Newland Homes’ continued regeneration of Springbank has proved popular with homebuyers, with half of homes now sold at the Newland Gardens development. With just a select number of two bedroom apartments plus two, three and four bedroom homes available, purchasers have been attracted to the area thanks to their careful design and the improvements that the development has brought to the surrounding neighbourhood. Newland Homes worked with members of the local community, including the Hesters Way Partnership, as well as the council and local MP Alex Chalk in order to design and deliver a development that would turn an area previously described by the MP as a ‘grot spot’ into a desirable place to live. Andy Hayes of Hesters Way Partnership, said: “The final piece of the physical regeneration of Springbank has now been completed with transformation of the former shopping centre site on Springbank / Pilgrove Way into the crisp development of properties in Newland Gardens. Thanks to Newland Homes for their perseverance in delivering a well- designed project on a notoriously problematic site and turning what was once an eyesore into an asset for the area. “We are pleased that the needs of the community have also been met locally by the provision of the fantastic CMAS café adjacent to the new homes and by the imminent arrival of a community shop to be located in the Springbank Community Centre. Springbank is definitely on the up!” Purchasers at Newland Gardens have included many first-time buyers, as well as those looking for value and convenience within easy reach of Cheltenham centre. The change that the development has brought to the area has made many househunters consider an area of the town they had previously discounted. Gail Remnant, Associate Sales Director for Newland Homes, explained: “Newland Gardens is a development we are particularly proud of as the area has been transformed as a result of removing the former derelict shopping centre and replacing it with homes that people aspire to live in. “We’ve now sold over half of the homes available and we continue to attract people new to the area, who have been impressed by the difference the development has made, as well as potential future improvements to the area being brought forward by others.” Newland Gardens is a collection of 34 two, three and four bedroom homes located on Pilgrove Way, Springbank, Cheltenham GL51 0WA. Prices currently start at £180,000 and Help to Buy is available on all properties. The marketing suite and showhome are open daily from 11am until 5pm.
