Uckington Parish Council meets in the village hall today, February 7, at 7.30pm.

There is an opportunit­y during the meeting for members of the community to ask questions about the parish.

The service in St Mary Magdalene on Sunday, February 10, at 10.45am will be Holy Communion.

You are all welcome to attend your community church.

Uckington & Elmstone Hardwicke Women’s Institute meets in the village hall on Thursday, February 14, at 7.30pm.

Judith Humphreys will give a presentati­on on reflexolog­y and anxiety. The competitio­n is a favourite pair of socks.

The next afternoon whist drive in the village hall will be on Tuesday, February 19 at 2pm. Entrance, raffle, refreshmen­ts and prizes only £1.

Come along and enjoy a friendly game of cards

There will be a grand spring jumble sale at Uckington & Elmstone Hardwicke Village Hall on Saturday, March 2 at 2pm in aid of St. Mary Magdalene church funds.

Any jumble items can be left at the hall from 10am on the day of the sale.

Every Tuesday, from 10.30am-noon, Chatterbox coffee drop-in is held at St. Lawrence Church, Swindon Village. Join us for a chat, company, cuppa and cake.

Every Thursday at 10.30am the singing group Go Vocal meets at the village hall.

Led by Linda Corcoran they sing old and new, rock and pop and new members are welcome with no need to read music and no audition to join.
