Winch­combe Town Coun­cil met on Fe­bru­ary 6 when the ma­jor items dis­cussed in­cluded a pre­sen­ta­tion from Winch­combe Walk­ers are Wel­come re­gard­ing the cre­ation of a foot­path from River­side to Broad­way Road and a green link be­tween Glouces­ter­shire War­wick­shire Steam Rail­way Sta­tion, Greet and Winch­combe Town Cen­tre.

The coun­cil agreed to sup­port this project in prin­ci­ple.

Winch­combe WI ap­proached the coun­cil re­gard­ing a sug­ges­tion for a new bus shel­ter at the doc­tor’s surgery – the coun­cil were in favour of this pend­ing a de­ci­sion about the re­ten­tion of Winch­combe’s bus ser­vice.

The next meet­ing of Winch­combe WI will be Tues­day, Fe­bru­ary 19at 2.30pm at Winch­combe Methodist Church Hall.

The speaker will be Mar­garet Hull who will talk about ex­trav­a­gant shell houses and ec­cen­tric grot­toes.

All visi­tors are very wel­come. Tea and home­made cakes are served.

Drop In @ Be So­cial, Lan­g­ley Road, takes place on Tues­day, Fe­bru­ary 19 from 2-3pm.

Join Sarah Hart­ley for a free taster ses­sion of mu­sic and move­ment, fol­lowed by re­fresh­ments (if you can make a small do­na­tion to­wards the cost of the re­fresh­ments this would be ap­pre­ci­ated).

There will be the chance to meet the peo­ple who run Be­so­cial cour­ses – and those who at­tend them.

Nick Puf­fett from the med­i­cal cen­tre will be on hand to an­swer ques­tions on health and ex­er­cise.

Winch­combe’s Seed Swap takes place on Satur­day, Fe­bru­ary 16 from 9am-noon out­side the Town Hall. Swap seeds you don’t want or give a do­na­tion in re­turn for some seeds.
