Winchcombe Town Council met on February 6 when the major items discussed included a presentation from Winchcombe Walkers are Welcome regarding the creation of a footpath from Riverside to Broadway Road and a green link between Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway Station, Greet and Winchcombe Town Centre.
The council agreed to support this project in principle.
Winchcombe WI approached the council regarding a suggestion for a new bus shelter at the doctor’s surgery – the council were in favour of this pending a decision about the retention of Winchcombe’s bus service.
The next meeting of Winchcombe WI will be Tuesday, February 19at 2.30pm at Winchcombe Methodist Church Hall.
The speaker will be Margaret Hull who will talk about extravagant shell houses and eccentric grottoes.
All visitors are very welcome. Tea and homemade cakes are served.
Drop In @ Be Social, Langley Road, takes place on Tuesday, February 19 from 2-3pm.

Winchcombe’s Seed Swap takes place on Saturday, February 16 from 9am-noon outside the Town Hall. Swap seeds you don’t want or give a donation in return for some seeds.
