The Monday Club meet in the Uckington & Elmstone Hardwicke Village Hall on February 25, at 10am. Join us for a chat, cuppa, and a cake.
There will be grand spring jumble sale at Uckington & Elmstone Hardwicke Village Hall on Saturday, March 2, at 2pm in aid of St. Mary Magdalene church funds.
Any jumble items can be left at the hall from 10am on the day of the sale.
Every Tuesday, from 10.30am-noon, Chatterbox coffee drop-in is held at St Lawrence Church, Swindon Village. Join us for a chat, company, cuppa and cake.
David only found water in his rain gauge on six days in January, giving a monthly total of just 14mm – the driest January he has recorded.
January 2014 had 12 times this recorded amount at 165mm.
Despite the lack of rain the radiation level was nothing special (2013 had far brighter days) but January 27 was the sunniest day of the month.
As for nightly temperatures the average was 0.51°C , whereas in 2016 the figure was 3.18°C and the coldest night this year was January 29, when the temperature fell to -6.0°C.
