Chip in and get a romantic gift with a difference
A FISH and chip shop may have just come up with one of the best alternative gifts for St Valentine’s Day.
On Friday, February 8, Cheltenham’s award-winning fish and chip shop Simpsons celebrated National Potato Lovers Day with mouth-watering heart-shaped chips.
But now they’ve outdone themselves.
For the second year running, Simpsons will be selling their quirky fish and chip bouquets.
The floral foodie arrangement consists of a dozen handcrafted potato roses alongside some tasty leafshaped fish goujon, all of which is hand-tied and beautifully presented in traditional newspaper.
The world’s first fish and chip bouquet was so popular last year that Simpsons received orders from as far away as Cornwall and Scotland.
One fish and chip lover even ended up with this mouthwatering creation as their wedding bouquet.
The foodie arrangement is only available on Thursday, February 14 and are the brainchild of Simpsons’ founder Bonny Ritchie.
She said: “Everyone knows that the real way to a person’s heart is through their stomach, so we’ve put a little twist on the traditional bouquet of a dozen red roses by making them entirely edible.”
