Making a entrance - store looks at changes

Gloucestershire Echo - - NEWS -

» GOING to Waitrose in Cheltenham could become a little different in the future.

The store, in Honeybourne Lane, is looking to overhaul its entrance/exit in a bit to improve the welcome given to its customers.

There will be a new double-glazed entrance and exit put up made from an aluminium frame, painted grey at the front of the building.

It would increase the overall footprint of the food store by about 34.5sq/m but will not create any additional sales area.

Under the plans submitted to Cheltenham Borough Council, the rear of the store will also be extended

The application said the new entrance/exit will be located in an existing window opening with the existing entrance/exit openings replaced with glazing.

“It will provide a much improved entrance area, which will be entirely glazed and provide light and clear entrance, which will welcome customers into the store,” the application submitted for Waitrose reads.
