Lisowski passes his first test in Indian challenge
» JACK Lisowski will face Joe Swail in the last 64 of the Indian Open in Kochi after a 4-0 success over local wildcard player Himanshu Dinesh Jain.
The Churchdown man opened with a break of 59 then won the next before he came through a tight third frame and finished with a break of 94.
He faces Swail tonight as he looks for a good run in the event ahead of next week’s Coral Players Championship at the Preston Guildhall.
Lisowski has qualified as a member of the top 16 on the one-year ranking list and faces Kyren Wilson in the opening round on Tuesday night.
He needs a good run in Kochi and also in Preston with a place in the Tour Championship, for the world’s top eight players, up for grabs.
Lisowski sits 10th on the list, £34,000 behind eighth-placed David Gilbert.
