» Back to school and hope you all en­joyed half-term hol­i­day which was great with sunny spring weather. Hope it lasts.

» Cubs were back last Mon­day, and Beavers and Scouts are on to­mor­row Fri­day.

» Glouces­ter­shire County Scouts had their an­nual cook­ing com­pe­ti­tion in the Cen­tury Hall last Sun­day, with seveb teams of four Scouts cook­ing a three­course meal from 10.30am.

Each team was tested from about noon by three judges, who watched them all morn­ing dur­ing prepa­ra­tion.

One of the judges was a pro­fes­sional chef, with two other Lead­ers mak­ing note of all that went on.

There were teams from all over the Cotswolds, and for­tu­nately the win­ners were four Scouts from 41st Scout Group in Chel­tenham, who meet at St Mark’s Scout Hut.

Well done to them and the other scouts as the re­sults were very close. Win­ners will now go to the re­gional Scouts com­pe­ti­tion which is in the Cen­tury Hall on Sun­day, March 10.

Com­peti­tors for the re­gional con­test come from as far away as Devon and Corn­wall, Portsmouth, Bris­tol and be­yond.

» Mul­ti­ple Scle­ro­sis In­for­ma­tion & Ther­apy are hav­ing their next jum­ble sale in the Cen­tury Hall on Sat­ur­day, March 30, from 2pm on­wards.

Some­one will be in the hall from morn­ing so if you have any­thing for them to sell at the jum­ble please take it in for them. You will be most wel­come.
