Experts to witness tech which increased rates of production
INDUSTRY experts from across the UK will be shown how new pioneering technology is helping to solve long-standing challenges in manufacturing.
Renishaw, together with its associate company MSP, is hosting a technical event to demonstrate how long-established manufacturing processes can be revolutionised through the use of their hardware and MSP’S software.
In particular, attendees will learn how issues including manual error, machine error, part setup error and CMM backlogs can be eliminated from the manufacturing process.
This new approach has substantially increased production rates for global manufacturers and saved millions in costs.
The event, on June 5, is being held at the Renishaw Innovation Centre at its headquarters in Gloucestershire.
Renishaw is a world-leading engineering company supplying precision measurement products used in a diverse range of applications, such as jet engine manufacture through to dentistry and brain surgery.
MSP, based in Northumberland, is behind the revolutionary Nc-checker and Nc-perfectpart software, which is used by major companies around the world, including BAE Systems PLC and three leading Formula One teams.
It has been proven to save companies huge amounts of time and money, with examples including cutting production time for one Formula One team by 9.5 hours.
Peter Hammond, MSP’S technical director, said: “Throughout our 17-year history, we have solved many common and complex manufacturing problems and, as a result, have gained a huge amount of knowledge on how to achieve precision within the industry.
“This will be a great platform for us to share this expertise and help other members of the industry achieve errorfree manufacturing processes”.
