Jamie im­presses Ger­man gi­ants

WEST Bromwich Al­bion’s Chel­tenham-born for­ward Jamie Soule is be­lieved to be a tar­get for Borus­sia Dort­mund.

Ac­cord­ing re­ports in The Sun, the 18-year-old for­ward im­pressed the Bun­desliga club in the FA Youth Cup semi-fi­nal against Manch­ester City in April.

He could now fol­low in the foot­steps of fel­low English young­ster Jadon San­cho by mov­ing to the West­falen­sta­dion.

Soule has net­ted 10 goals for the Bag­gies’ Un­der-18s and Un­der-23s this sea­son, hav­ing turned pro­fes­sional at the Hawthorns in 2017. He has also rep­re­sented Eng­land a youth level.

He joined West Brom’s de­vel­op­ment cen­tre at the age of eight and at­tended Bourn­side School in Chel­tenham be­fore be­com­ing a full-time foot­baller.

He started out in youth foot­ball for St Mark’s from Un­der-fives to Un­der-sevens.

Jamie’s dad, Leigh, was un­til re­cently man­ager of FC Baro­met­rics in Glouces­ter­shire North­ern Se­nior League Divi­sion One.
