Jamie impresses German giants
WEST Bromwich Albion’s Cheltenham-born forward Jamie Soule is believed to be a target for Borussia Dortmund.
According reports in The Sun, the 18-year-old forward impressed the Bundesliga club in the FA Youth Cup semi-final against Manchester City in April.
He could now follow in the footsteps of fellow English youngster Jadon Sancho by moving to the Westfalenstadion.
Soule has netted 10 goals for the Baggies’ Under-18s and Under-23s this season, having turned professional at the Hawthorns in 2017. He has also represented England a youth level.
He joined West Brom’s development centre at the age of eight and attended Bournside School in Cheltenham before becoming a full-time footballer.
He started out in youth football for St Mark’s from Under-fives to Under-sevens.
Jamie’s dad, Leigh, was until recently manager of FC Barometrics in Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Division One.
