TROLLIUS ‘GOLDEN QUEEN’
Trollius, or the globe flower, will provide a dazzling display of orange in late spring.
A hardy perennial, it likes its feet to be cool and moist with its head in the sunshine – so a nice sunny spot by a pond would be just perfect.
Layers of humus material each spring will help enrich the soil and retain moisture.
The bowl-shaped warm orange flowers would mix beautifully with some yellow Primula elatior, along with geums in oranges, reds and yellows for a zesty border.
