Free journey offer just the ticket for eco event
STAGECOACH West is offering people the chance to travel into Cheltenham by bus for free.
The company’s offer applies to its 93 service, which runs from Arle Court into Cheltenham, on World Environment Day - Wednesday June 5.
The park and ride service runs up to every 12 minutes from the site near the A40 and junction 11 of the M5.
Those who take advantage of the offer between 7am and 11am will also be able to enjoy a free hot drink.
“World Environment Day is a great opportunity to start thinking about a more eco-friendly lifestyle, which is why we’re offering customers the chance to travel for free for the day,” said Rupert Cox, managing director of Gloucester-based Stagecoach West.
“We have recently freed up more parking spaces at Arle Court Park & Ride to cater for those wanting to leave their cars behind and travel into the town by bus, as well as investing in new fuel efficient buses - which feature free Wi-fi and USB charging.
“With parking charges continuing to rise in Cheltenham, the park and ride service offers a convenient and costeffective alternative to driving into the centre. It also helps to ease the congestion on our busy urban roads.”
Stagecoach West recently made a £1million investment in the park and ride buses.
