APP ofthe WEEK

Gloucestershire Echo - - TECH NOW -

WE’RE just about kneedeep in apps to help you sleep – who knew this was such a massive problem?

The latest kid on the block is Rise, from the makers of Peak Brain Training, a good pedigree.

So, aside from a swish look and some lovely typography, what does Rise have to offer?

Its makers argue that no one technique can help everybody, so no fewer than four different methods of sleep assistance are included, all backed up by “science”.

Mindfulness meditation, acceptance and commitment therapy, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery, are all used to create a programme to help you get a good sleep.

I have no idea if it works, of course, I have trouble staying awake most of the time. Good thing, then, that Rise offers a sevenday free trial so you can find out for yourself. It’ll cost you £48.99-a-year to keep using after the trial.
