JOHN Lewis & Partners in Cheltenham will back chosen cancer support charity Look Good Feel Better as a Community Matters Charity and will be actively involve in raising funds and awareness during Feel Better week which begins on June 3.

Within store, during the biggest fundraising week in the charities’ calendar, there will be a host of activity including special makeovers for customers at counters in the beauty hall.

In addition to the feel better week activity there will be a special feelgood Style and Beauty morning in the John Lewis store on July 18 for those currently using the Look Good Feel Better service in Cheltenham.

Look Good Feel Better was picked as it provides services for adults and teens with cancer living in the Cheltenham area.

Events coordinator Sarah Lewis said: “We are delighted to be working with Look Good Feel Better and supporting the wonderful and invaluable work they do to for people affected by cancer.

“We are also very happy to have been able to offer direct support with two of our Beauty Partners now regularly volunteering as group helpers for the workshop run at the Cheltenham Maggie’s Centre.

Ian Daniels, Director of Fundraising at Look Good Feel Better, said: “As relatively small and self-funded charity, we rely on our supporters for both awareness and fundraising.

“The money raised will help us continue to support women, men and teenagers who are struggling with the visible side effects of their cancer treatment and any subsequent loss in confidence and self-esteem.

“We are incredibly grateful to the team at John Lewis & Partners in Cheltenham for their support.”
