Walmsleys unite with fine parkrun displays

THE Walmsley family were parkrun tourists at Lymington Woodside and Dennis produced his highest age grade to date coming third overall and knocking 19 seconds off the course MV55 record in a time of 18:18.

Lilly-anna was next and even though not feeling well, managed second in age with a respectabl­e 28:50 while Lucy ran with Bertie to achieve a credible fourth in the boys Under-10 with 34:09.

Moreton Fire Service College park run had a good turn out with Mike Kelly running 19:20 for fourth male, Laura Williams clocking a PB of 24:58, second V35 and Roger Owen coming fifth in 20:37,

The Krzywiec family had a great morning with mum Kate sixth overall and first lady in 20:44, a V40 course record, while Chloe finished fifth in junior category JW10 in 36:06 and Pippa had a superb run to finish fourth in junior JW10 in 31:48.

Our adult beginners group go from strength to strength with Helen Parry running 32:13, Aly Cartlidge 33:00 and Natasha Closa Cervera 43:05.

The club Juniors also excelled themselves with Harry Finley finishing in 32.46, Phoebe Miller 31:39, William Cartlidge 32:39 and Sophie Finley 26:48.

Laura Baskeymiln­e completed her middle distance Triathlon in Whitchurch, 5:40:16, for second in her age group and eighth overall female.

Steve Edwards continues to clock up marathons towards his 1000 goal, completing his 870th at Saturn Running run to infinity event in Egham, with a first place, 3:27:50, a 67th career win and 780th sub 3:30 time.

A few NCTR ladies also had a fantastic weekend of running at Runfestrun, at Bowood House, with the chance to run alongside the likes of Paula Radcliffe, Colin Jackson and Steve Cram.
