Cross-chan­nel test for in­trepd cy­cling squad

» A TEAM of ama­teur cy­clists is tak­ing on an epic chal­leng to raise money for their com­pany’s cho­sen char­ity.

The team will be rising 270 over four days from Kohler Mira’s base in Chel­tenham to Paris in aid of Alzheimer’s Re­search UK.

They have been in train­ing ahead of the ride which be­gins on July 24.

Pur­chas­ing man­ager Tom Rastall, one of the ride or­gan­is­ers, said: “None of us have cy­cled this far be­fore, so it will cer­tainly be a challenge.

“We’ve all been putting in lots of miles in train­ing.

“We are hop­ing for rea­son­able weather, as we are camp­ing.”
