Bye Bierkeller and welcome to The Miller
» CHELTENHAM’S Bavarian bar Bierkeller has revealed that it will be closing its doors once more - less than a year after it originally reopened.
The Bath Road venue is set to close later this month but will be relaunched as a ‘stylish, modern bar and restaurant.’
A planning application which was submitted has outlined some of the changes, including a re-brand and new sign which reveals the venue’s name will be changed to The Miller.
The initial plans, which are yet to be approved, also suggest that the bar will will serve craft beer, cider and burgers as well as showing sport.
The application validated by Cheltenham Borough Council on July 3 shows how the new facade of the building will look, including advertising beer, cider and burgers.
There will also be new LED trough light, finished in black.
Tand it seems that Bierkeller staff won’t be affected too much as it has been reported that they will not lose their jobs in the re-brand.
The venue originally closed back in March 2018 and then reopened a few months later.
It is unclear as to why the venue is closing for a second time.
