» Woodmancot­e Village Hall will host an exhibition of more than 100 quilts and other items on Saturday, August 31, 10am-5pm, and Sunday September 1, 11am-4pm.

Vanessa’s Patchwork Journey is in aid of two local charities, Maggie’s cancer centre and The Butterfly Garden.

» The Rev Dr Dee Brierley Jones is holding animal blessing services in Woodmancot­e Village Hall, Bushcombe Lane.

The summer gathering is August 4, 2pm, and, later in the year, a Christmas Carol gathering on Sunday, December 1, 2pm.

These two unusual non-church pet services are a local gathering of pet owners joined together by the love of their pets, in a colourful and fun way, with music supplied by Cheltenham Brass Band.

Everyone welcome, no entry fee, parking available.
