Cherry and Whites launch mint green away shirt
GLOUCESTER Rugby unveiled their new away kit last weekend and it’s getting varied reactions.
The colour scheme was perhaps hinted at when the training range was released a few weeks ago incorporating a mint green into much of it.
And that’s very much the dominant flavour in the new shirt, with dark blue stripes breaking up the top.
This year’s kit is made by Oxen Sports, part of Elite Pro Sports which were formerly called Xblades.
So although it’s a new name on the manufacturer’s logo, it’s still the same company.
Images of the kit, modelled by England fly-half Danny Cipriani days after his return to the international set-up, were released this morning on the club’s social media feeds and it’s in stock at their Gloucester Quays shop.
More of the fans commenting on Twitter and Facebook seem to like it than not.
One said: “Absolutely love this.” Another said: “Nicest away kit we’ve had in years!”
But one commenter posted a ‘being sick’ emoji and another described it as ‘Nasty! Looks like a packet of chewing gum.’
