THE KINGDOM OF GOD TO BE ESTABLISHED ON THE EARTH

The return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth is foretold many times in the Holy Bible. Jesus Himself gave various signs to herald His return and the establishment of His Kingdom. These signs, and those set down by other writers in the Bible, are now apparent in world troubles and problems, which Jesus said would bring ‘‘distress of nations, with perplexity” (Luke 21 verse 25). Such things as a prevalence of crime and violence, immorality, conflicts, disasters and famines are among the indications given. God created the earth to be inhabited (Isaiah 45 verse 18) and to be filled with His glory (Numbers 14 verse 21). The Scriptures inform us that the Lord Jesus Christ Is to rule the world in righteousness and peace (Psalm 72, Isaiah 11). Jesus taught his disciples to pray for this time ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”. (Matthew 6 verse 10). The Bible signs indicate that soon God will intervene, sending Jesus Christ, as promised, to establish His Kingdom on earth. The Word of God urges us to be ready (Matthew 24 verse 44). There is a particularly relevant question in Malachi 3 verse 2 ‘‘Who may abide the day of His coming?’’ We appeal to you to consider the Bible message of hope.
