Two in a row Richard re­tains his ti­tle at club’s one-mile chal­lenge

THE Bour­ton One Mile Chal­lenge had a su­per turn-out yet again with last year’s race win­ner, Richard de-camps from Chel­tenham & County Har­ri­ers mak­ing it two wins in a row.

This year he was the clear leader in a time of 4.32, four sec­onds ahead of Wil­liam Stock­ley from Bel­grave Har­ri­ers. Cirences­ter’s Dave Bell came in third, an­other four sec­onds later.

Emily Field, 17, run­ning for Strat­ford AC on the night, con­clu­sively won the ladies race in a su­perb time of 5.24, beat­ing Tewkes­bury’s Shona Crom­biehicks by five sec­onds. Anna Mid­g­ley of Glouces­ter fin­ished third in 5.33.

The Fun Run tro­phies were won by John Knight (un­at­tached) and first fe­male, was eight- year old Chloe Krzy­wiec of Bour­ton Road­run­ners.
