Gloucestershire Echo - - FOOTBALL -

CHELTENHAM Town Ladies will kick-off the 2019/20 Women’s National League Division One South West season with a home match against Poole Town on Sunday, August 18.

Alex Cheal’s side travel to Buckland Athletic two weeks later for their first away game of the campaign.

The Robins finished fourth last season, an improvement on the previous year’s ninth place, also winning the Gloucestershire FA Women’s Trophy with a 10-0 win over Frampton Rangers in the final.

Last year’s champions Keynsham have been promoted to the Southern Premier, while Southampton Saints have folded, with Southampton FC joining the division along with Exeter City.

Cheltenham play their home matches at Cheltenham Saracens’ Petersfield Park ground on Tewkesbury Road.

They beat Wolves Women 1-0 in a pre-season friendly, thanks to Louise Fensome’s 14th minute strike.
