Food, mu­sic and the beach – it’s all go­ing on this week­end

» Culi­nary roy­alty will de­scend on Gloucester this week as Gloucester Quays Food Fes­ti­val gets un­der­way.

The three-day event which kicks off on Fri­day, July 26 will serve up a slice of Glouces­ter­shire food and drink along­side culi­nary de­lights from across the globe.

The fes­ti­val will fea­ture cook­ing demon­stra­tions from famed chefs such as Rose­mary Shrager, Phil Vickery and Dean Ed­wards.

The fes­ti­val for foodies will also host live mu­sic and DJS un­til 8pm on Fri­day and Satur­day and 4pm on Sun­day.

Many pro­duc­ers from Glouces­ter­shire will be tak­ing part in the event in­clud­ing Janes Pantry, Niang’s Thai Snacks, Gloucester Brew­ery, Goff’s Brew­ery in Chel­tenham, Be­spoke Brew­ing Com­pany in Mitcheldea­n, Old Stag Cider in Fair­ford, Field Bar Wines at Chal­ford, Gold­ings Ice Cream and Snow Cones from Gloucester and My Cof­fee in Chel­tenham.

» THE Three Choirs Cho­ral Fes­ti­val re­turns to Gloucester this week­end.

The week-long event has cho­ral and or­ches­tral con­certs, cathe­dral ser­vices, solo and cham­ber mu­sic recitals, mas­ter­classes, talks, the­atre, ex­hi­bi­tions and walks, ro­tat­ing each sum­mer be­tween the beau­ti­ful English cathe­dral cities of Here­ford, Gloucester and Worces­ter.

It is the old­est non-com­pet­i­tive clas­si­cal mu­sic fes­ti­val in the world, which cel­e­brated its 300th an­niver­sary in 2015.
