Boss to face open day Q&A

MANAGER Michael Duff will be on the panel for a question and answer session at the club’s 2019 Open Day at the Seasons Training Ground on Sunday.

The Robins boss will be joined by a member of his playing squad and Gloucester­shire Live’s Jon Palmer in a Q&A hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Ed Draper.

The Open Day takes place between 11am and 1pm at Quat Goose Lane in Swindon Village. The Q&A is set to begin at 11.30am.

All of the first team squad will also be present for supporters to meet, while there will be coaching sessions for children to take part in with the Academy, Ladies and Community teams.

On top of that there will be the Speed Gun to test the speed of your shooting, the bar will be open, and to cap the day off a Legends team will take on a side of season ticket holders in a 40-minute friendly.

The Legends returning for the match are Neil Grayson, Ashley Vincent, John Brough, Lee Howells, Jason Eaton, Keith Knight, Richard Walker, Steve Jones, Dave Norton, Andy Gallinagh, Damian Spencer, Dave Parker, Simon Goodwin, Steve Elliott, Lee Davis, Joey Licata, Bob Bloomer, Clive Walker (tbc), Mark Yates (tbc).

Mike Davis and Bob Bloomer will be managing the Legends side, while Mark Boyland and another special guest will be in charge of the season ticket holders team.

It’s also been confirmed that the 1887 Red Army’s new flag to celebrate the life of former Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh who tragically passed away recently will be present for fans to see for the first time.

There will also be an opportunit­y to donate to the recently set-up Justin Edinburgh 3 Foundation - a charity related to heart or brain health set up in memory of Edinburgh.
