Charlesworth shines at College for England U19s
» GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S Ben Charlesworth top scored with 68 but England Under-19s lost to Bangladesh Under-19s by seven wickets at Cheltenham College on Sunday. The opener hit six fours and a six in his 103-ball innings as England made 242-9 from their 50 overs but 81 from Mahmudul Hasan Joy and an unbeaten 75 from Towhid Hridoy saw Bangladesh home. Saturday’s game at the College between India Under-19 and Bangladesh Under-19, was washed out, while England beat their Indian counterparts on Friday. India made 256-5 from their 50 overs, and Charlesworth hit 52 as England won by five wickets, Jack Haynes top-scoring with 89 and skipper George Hill hitting an unbeaten 41.
