Cheltenham residents are being asked for their views on recycling and how they use the household recycling centre in a brand new survey which runs until September 13.

To enter the survey online go to cheltenham.gov.uk/waste-recyclingc­onsultatio­n.

Or pick up paper copy at the Municipal Offices from Monday, July 29.

On Mondays in August at the Bacon Theatre at 2.30pm there will be a showing of classic films – August 5 Casablanca; August 12 The Glenn Miller Story; August 19, West Side Story; August 26, The Sound of Music. Tickets cost £9 or £8 consession.

The police vehicle will be parked on Salisbury Avenue on August 22 from 10am-3pm.

The Brizen Young People’s Centre is available to hire at £14 per hour.

This modern room will hold 50 with kitchen.

The annual gardening show will be held in the large hall at St Christophe­r’s Church, Lincoln Avenue, on Saturday, August 17

The show opens at 2pm and the entry fee is £1.

There is a charity concert in aid of the Under One Roof Appeal at Up Hatherley Social Centre at St Phillips & St James Parish Church on Tuesday, August 6 from 7pm, featuring singer, songwriter and guitarist Sarah Mcquade. Bar available.

September 14 is Heritage Open Day when you can come along to St Christophe­r’s Church and view the splendid Tom Denny Windows. The event will run from 2pm-5pm.
